Hockey Night in Prince William Information

For the Love of the Game... Timeless Hockey

Adult Hockey at the Prince William Ice Center

Why Play Adult Hockey at the Prince William Ice Center?

The Prince William Ice Center is the area's premier ice sports complex.  We offer numerous adult hockey leagues, tournaments, and programs.  From the seasonal Adult Hockey Skills Clinic to five levels of league play offered year round, we have a hockey experience ready for you!  For more information email RJ Zeigler at today!

Our league offers entry to both teams and individuals. Players who sign-up as individuals will be placed on existing teams WHEN SPACE IS AVAILABLE.

Our adult leagues begin in January, May, and September.  Game nights will be designated at the Captains' meeting, just as we have in the past.  All teams can either provide their own jerseys or contact our Pro Shop Manager to acquire uniforms.  Each team will be required to have matching uniforms.  All players must provide a printout of a current USA Hockey registration at the time of registration.

Our League Director will determine the appropriate league in which to place each team, basing the decision on talent, experience, and team preference.  Changes in team placement can be made by our League Director up to two weeks into the season to ensure parity throughout each league.

D League – D League skaters are often new to the game of hockey and those that are developing fundamental skating and stick handling skills. Most are learning basic rules of the game and team play. Most D League skaters have not had significant coaching or youth hockey playing experience as a child.

C League – C League skaters have general knowledge of the game and have fundamental skating and stick handling skills. Some will be advancing from a novice level (D League. Most C League skaters have not had significant coaching or playing experience as a child. Again, C League is still a novice level with players still learning rules of the game and team play.

B League – Lower B League skaters are generally in the middle of the pack skill wise. Some are still learning basic hockey skills (skating, stick handling, pass and shooting). At the B level, teams and players will start to play more of a positional style.

A League – A League skaters are the best skaters in the league and have above average hockey abilities, skills, knowledge and experience, likely to at least include youth hockey/high school/Junior or college.

Players will be required to check in before each game to prevent illegal players from participating and to help ensure that our leagues are fair and competitive.
